About the Event

State of Black Arizona and GPEC have teamed up to launch the third State of Black Business Report for the state of Arizona. Join us for this special edition of Regional Report: A GPEC Virtual Series, to hear more about the findings.

The State of Black Business 3.0 report provides a follow-up on venture capital and microlending, showcasing data points regarding women-owned businesses. Additionally, it highlights opportunities in supplier diversity and emphasizes the benefits our region would gain from expanding in this space.

The informative report provides additional resources for small businesses, including strategies for leveraging both local and out-of-state partnerships. These initiatives enable us to take tangible steps toward fostering Black/African American contributions to the economy.
On the day of the event, attendees will be provided with a link to access the report.

The Zoom meeting details, and a calendar attachment will be available in the RSVP confirmation email. Please note, there will be no in-person meeting.

In case you missed the first two reports:

The first State of Black Business Report highlighted challenges and opportunities for expanding the presence of Black businesses within the state. This was followed a year later by the 2.0 report which was built on data points related to Black entrepreneurship and the issue of access to capital, leaving readers with major recommendations on the need for an increase in access to capital, generation of venture funding opportunities, improving terms of credit for Black-owned businesses, and closing the financial institution gaps.
